Resumen
Following a brief introduction to the Biology (structure-function) of the steroid hormone receptor superfamily, an updated summary of pathogenic mutations in the steroid, thyroid hormone and vitamin D receptors causing familial resistance syndromes, is presented. Key elements of hormonal intervention and therapeutic directions to the management of these syndromes and related endocrinopathies are also being discussed.
