Introducing Non-Computer Science Undergraduates to Web Development: Results of an Investigative Study on Student Teachers
Επιτομή
A series of workshops aming at introducing non-computer science undergraduates to web development were discussed. Forty-six second year student teachers participated in a series of eight two-hour workshops, organized within the framework of an internet in education course in a laboratory equipped with personal computers. The results show that the project-based learning approach was very motivational, since most student teachers invested considerable time and effort in producing content-rich educational websites. The results also show that student teachers are capable of developing interesting websites, provided that the development task is meaningful.
