Knowledge Management on Hotels: The Case of Greek Hotels

The scope of this chapter is to examine the case of knowledge management on the hotel business. The search for quality is directly related to the conversion of personal knowledge into a collective asset. In order to explore the processes leading to effective knowledge management, concepts such as this one are studied learning organizations, practice communities, in-house training, and it clarifies that a “thinking workforce” integrates learning into work processes by utilizing it to continually improve its services. In particular, reference was made to ways in which employees can integrate knowledge and channel it into the organization through Knowledge Management. Having in mind the important role of knowledge management on hotels, the chapter has focused on how to empower those intellectual skills so to leverage the performance of hotels. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
