Paul of Aegina (ca 625-690 ad), Reconstructing Male Gynecomastia
Abstract
Paul of Aegina thrived with his innovative operations, practically creating a kind of a new surgical school. He had deeply believed in human's body perfection introducing a series of cosmetic operations. Among them stood the male's breasts reconstruction in the case of pseudo-gynecomastia. His intervention was replicated by both the western Europeans and the Arabs. © The Author(s) 2017.
