Shape reconstruction using fisheye and projective cameras
Επιτομή
Reconstructing shape from silhouettes is an interesting topic in computer vision. In the case of projective (pinhole) cameras, this task has been solved with several variations. The increasing use of omnidirectional cameras, due to their apparent advantage of covering 180 degrees field of view, necessitates the application of shape from silhouette in cases of mixed type cameras, a subject not very well studied. In this work we describe an experimental setup of three very low cost projective IP cameras, combined with a ceiling-based fisheye camera (a special type of omni-directional camera). Results are presented in reconstructing synthetic 3D human models, as well as real human subjects. Results show that including the fisheye camera enhances the accuracy of the reconstruction. © 2016 IEEE.

Pose recognition in indoor environments using a fisheye camera and a parametric human model
Delibasis, K. K.; Plagianakos, V. P.; Maglogiannis, I. (2014)In this paper we present a system that uses computer vision techniques and a deformable 3D human model, in order to recognize the posture of a monitored person, given the segmented human silhouette from the background. The ... -
Calculation of Complex Zernike Moments with Geodesic Correction for Pose Recognition in Omni-directional Images
Delibasis, K. K.; Georgakopoulos, S.; Plagianakos, V.; Maglogiannis, I. (2014)A number of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence applications are based on descriptors that are extracted from imaged objects. One widely used class of such descriptors are the invariant moments, with Zernike moments ... -
Fisheye camera modeling for human segmentation refinement in indoor videos
Delibasis, K. K.; Goudas, T.; Plagianakos, V. P.; Maglogiannis, I. (2013)In this paper, we concentrate on refining the results of segmenting human presence from indoors videos acquired by a fisheye camera, using a 3D mathematical model of the camera. The model has been calibrated according to ...
