dc.description.abstract | Urban water systems have great potential in water and energy saving. A thorough water losses component assessment can reveal this potential and drive utilities into a proper water management scheme towards a more sustainable use of resources. The core of such an analysis would involve ICTs -establishing a continuous and real-Time or near real-Time monitoring history- and spatiotemporal simulation of all relative critical variables within the water distribution network. In this work, we introduce an integrated Decision Support System, which aims to reduce excessive pressure in the network, reducing water and energy waste, respectively to the real spatio-Temporal water demand. The DSS integrates all physical features such as the network and the water meters, as well as forecasting and modeling algorithms, providing for optimum decision regarding the operation of the whole system. The DSS offers a series of KPI estimates, regarding the impact of pressure control management on leakage and pressure driven household water consumption, among others. © 2018 1st International WDSA / CCWI 2018 Joint Conference.
