Résumé
Turbo codes is a very powerful and efficient error correction coding scheme since 1993. 5G V2X services need a compromise between performance and latency. Having this in mind and despite the complexity of turbo codes, our approach shows that they can be used for enhancing safety related 5G V2V and V2I services for short frame lengths. We use correlated (flat) Rayleigh fading channel for our simulation scenarios, where we investigate an efficient number of iterations considering BER and FER performance. Finally, using these iterations numbers we investigate different scenarios where we calculate system delay for the three main candidate decoding algorithms. Our analysis shows that our approach can be used for different V2V and V2I implementation scenarios. © 2020 IEEE.
