Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a method based on fuzzy logic theory to accurately and effectively monitor a phase of a distribution line regarding its ampacity level; a crucial towards the health of the power system procedure. Especially on the era of competitive electricity markets where electricity demand is formed based solely on the level of the prevailing electricity usage price at each particular time instance. All the data have been acquired by using the GridLAB-D simulation platform, while the fuzzy logic algorithm has been implemented and tested using the fuzzy logic toolbox of Matlab. © 2017 IEEE.
