Abstract
Meta-analytic techniques are used to combine the results of different studies that have evaluated the accuracy of diagnostic tests. In this article, we present univariate and multivariate meta-analysis methods for a single test and we provide an extensive description of methods for meta-analysis and comparison of multiple diagnostic tests. We close with a practical example of a meta-analysis that aimed to determine whether Rheumatoid Factor identifies patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. © 2022, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
