Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is one of the most successful surgical procedures excellent 15-20 year survival rates routinely reported by multiple surgeons in large series [1]. It is widely used in the treatment of severe knee osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, posttraumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout and other general arthritic conditions [2].
