Zusammenfassung
This review focuses on: (a) describing the physicoelectrochemical transport phenomena in alkaline Anion Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (AEMFCs) and acidic Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs) fed with hydrogen or hydrogen-rich alcohols, such as e.g. ethanol, methanol, and (b) reporting alkaline AEMFC vs. acidic PEMFC polarisation performance characteristics such as, maximum area-specific and mass-specific power densities.
