L’a se proposant d’etudier dans la serie de l’«Epetiris» les monuments
byzantins de Thessalie du XIIIe et XIVe s. afin de les rapporter
aux centres artistiques de la derniere periode (Salonique, M‘
Athos, Arta), commence ici par la description du couvent d’Olympiotissa
d’Elassona (XIVe s.), dont il examine en detail ^architecture du
Catholicon qu’il rapporte au type contemporain des monuments
analogues de Salonique (Ste Catherine et Sts Apotres). Parmi les
joyaux de ce couvent il releve les battants d’une porte en bois sculpte,
portant date (1305) et il examine a l’occasion revolution de la
sculpture en bois dans Part byzantin.
