The investigation of basic variability aspects in face-milled surfaces regarding roughness and waviness (surface texture) for various cutting conditions is attempted in this note. The inhomogeneity of the machined steel specimens surfaces is modelled according to the Fisher-Pearson statistical system. Models are developed by regression analysis for waviness and roughness interdependence exhibiting very high correlation coefficients.en
