dc.description.abstract | The paper deals with the numerical modelling of hooked steel fibres which are embedded in a high strength cementitious matrix. The pull-out of the fibres is first studied by means of an accurate three-dimensional model. Then a simplified two-dimensional model is proposed which is able to capture the basic characteristics of the pull-out procedure. Finally, the paper studies the effect of different fibre geometries to the load - displacement pull-out curves. © 2006 Civil-Comp Press. | en |
