This study investigated whether the GnRH antagonist ganirelix is able to block the positive-feedback effect of E-2 in normal women. Ganirelix was unable to block the positive-feedback effect, suggesting that the clinical efficacy of GnRH antagonists in IVF cycles is determined by the hyperstimulation process.
