dc.description.abstractA case of 100% mortality in cultured sharpsnout sea bream (Diplodus puntazzo) caused by Ceratomyxa diplodae after sustained steroid treatment for induction of sex inversion is described. The pathology caused by the parasite as well as the possible association of the hormone treatment with the mortality is discussed.en
