Abstract
The wall-to-fluidized bed conductive heat transfer process is studied in the case of glass particles, applying the ''particle-model''. A very accurate numerical method is developed within the implicit finite-difference approximation. Results are presented for the isotherms and the variation of the heat transfer coefficient under various parametric values of the film gas and the heat transfer area. Our results are compared with other theoretical and experimental results from the literature. It is shown that our predictions are in better agreement with the experimental results compared to those obtained by other theoretical models.
