dc.description.abstract | Vehicular ad hoc networks have attracted a lot of research recently, because of the multiple possible applications. Blockchain is a new approach to designing distributed storage infrastructures. In this paper the implementation of a blockchain infrastructure on top of vehicular ad hoc networks is presented. The main motive is to create a peer to peer shared storage between vehicles traveling in a specific area that may enable them to collaboratively produce data that can be used by them or even sold to other vehicles. A proof of concept experiment has been conducted through simulating the proposed system functioning by using a real world dataset containing vehicles GPS coordinates. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019. | en |
