The design and control of automated manufacturing systems requires an effective development system that enables the design specifications to be implemented and tested prior to the actual implementation and control of the industrial machine. This article considers some of the important issues in the area of manufacturing systems modelling using qualitative models in order to effectively describe the operation and control algorithm for a group of industrial machines. In particular, an attempt is made to resolve some of the important problems faced in developing, testing, and applying appropriate control algorithms, through qualitative modelling, in order to control various structural machine processes running in a group of industrial block-making machines. The aim is to establish an efficient synchronization and cooperation of the machine's operation in order to ensure maximum production rate of the concrete elements, operational quality, and safety.en
